Duracell/Procell and Villa Vie Residences Launch Pilot with Smart Battery Monitoring Solution Aboard the Odyssey

Miami, FL – Procell, the professional battery brand of the Duracell Company, is proud to announce its new partnership with residential cruise line Villa Vie Residences. As part of this collaboration, Procell has successfully installed its Procell InSite wireless device management system aboard Villa Vie’s flagship residential vessel, The Odyssey, marking a significant step forward in helping luxury maritime operations improve operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability at sea.

The pilot installation, completed in Seattle, brought onboard door locks online with real-time battery monitoring capabilities. This initiative is designed to reduce unnecessary battery replacements, minimize waste, and enhance the onboard experience for Villa Vie’s residents and crew.

Villa Vie Odyssey, a long-term residential vessel with over 500 cabins offering a continuous 3.5-year world voyage, is designed to deliver a self-contained residential lifestyle to residents across seven continents. To support such high standards of performance and comfort, Villa Vie’s operations team selected Procell InSite to help monitor and optimize the ship’s critical battery-powered devices.

As part of the partnership, Procell will support Villa Vie’s Global Harmony sustainability program by contributing to reforestation efforts in a port visited by the Odyssey. This initiative aligns with Villa Vie’s mission to plant trees in every destination, reinforcing both companies’ shared commitment to environmental stewardship. Together, the battery optimization enabled by Procell InSite and the Global Harmony program represent a multi-dimensional approach to sustainability—both onboard and ashore.
